The jade patch is located in east ardougne, in the front yard of the mansion. It is northwest of the bank and west of the Ardougne market.
A jade seed is obtained from Horacio or gained when clearing the patch. RuneScape players can pay Horacio to clear the patch or clear it themselves.
The best way to clear the jade vine patch is to let it get wild (takes a few hours after checking health) and attack it. Be sure to bring your best hatchet, armor, antipoison, and food. This grants 2,500 slayer experience.
Using the secateurs on the wild jade vine reverts it to an overgrown vine. After the vine is pruned, Horacio can be paid to clear it; the payment is five coconuts and five watermelons.
