The free to play were booming and developers looking to make more accessible
and addictive. This is also the goal that is set Jagex , the céateur of
RuneScape for a new free action game in the world of Autobots and Decepticons.
Startup!
Planned for this summer and soon in beta, Transformers Universe MMO will be a
kind of lightened a MOTA (Massive Online Tactical Action Game) to be precise,
playable in a browser and in which the player can collect wildest mechas for
embody them in combat. If robots in the series will be found in history, Optimus
Prime and company, they are rather original mechas to be offered to players. But
enough chatter, let's get to the action.
Easy navigation
The idea is simple: you open your browser, you log in, you choose a robot
depending on your faction (Autobots or Decepticons) and you get into the fight.
Two game modes are currently planned, PVP or PVE. Start with the latter that
will allow four players in a team, walking in large open areas to kill enemies
appointed Terracon (I do not want to hear ...). The principle is simple since we
slaughter his opponents headed by IA to learn to play together and create common
strategies. Knowing that robots obviously have specialties (Tank, Healer, DPS,
support, etc ...), it is obvious that he will have to play together to achieve
its goals. Bosses will obviously part and they, too, require specific tactics.
Everything a program for PVE players, even if the script does not seem very
substantial in this mode, the goal is to get his bearings before launching into
the arena against real players.
More the merrier, the merrier?
The second game mode (so PVP) of Transformers Universe offers muscular
eight-player games (four against four in each team) whose purpose is simply to
eliminate the opposing team. Presented in a pretty empty scenery, we must
recognize it (but remember that this is a browser game, a game playable via a
web browser, a window what!), Robots were modeled correctly but the place is
proved too empty to our liking. Nevertheless, despite this odd graphic, confess
that the first parts we have shown us (we have not been able to get hold of the
game) are quite promising, with the front Tanks, healers behind , and other
classes (sniper, assassin, etc.). rotating around the fray to lend support to
their comrades. Remains to be seen what will all the length and especially how
developers will keep us in suspense for months. And that's good because we have
a first answer.
Collection and customization
Without going into details, as was the case during the presentation, we
understand that players will collect many mechas but also customize according
harvested endgame rewards. Thus, if the classes (12 in total) crawler obviously
have basic functions, it is possible to change their specialties based on
various artifacts. The goal is obviously to create his own war machine to
integrate with a team of friends for what fills a specific role based on
opponents or his own comrades.
We expect: Not at all
Without touching the thing and with a rather detailed presentation, admit
that we still have trouble enthuse us for the Transformers Universe.
Nevertheless a fashionable concept, the free-to-play, a captivating world for
fans of the genre, the Transformers, and bastons that does not seem to lack
subtlety, even if we have only seen the tip of the iceberg yet. Let us hope that
the title will keep players in suspense with good content, many game modes, at
least if you believe the developers, and a progression system (you can get it
all without spending a dime if we lots and lots of time to kill) rather well
done. Promises that we can verify in the coming months as the Transformers
Universe beta should begin soon and the game is scheduled for this summer on our
PC.
